Color and Contour Tent Card

I found a video on YouTube made by Mary Deatherage of Stamps-N-Lingers which gave me the inspiration to make this tent card. I decided to leave the back panel blank except for an image so that there would be room to write a message.

Front view

I used the stamp set Color and Contour by Stampin' Up!, and the new Polished Pink cardstock, both being released with the new catalogue on May 4, 2021. The card base is thick Basic White, 4.5 x 11, scored at 5.5. The layers were cut with the second largest rectangle from the Layering Rectangles, which is being retired on May 3, 2021. The thread is the cord from the Elegantly Said Suite which will be in the new catalogue.

Back view

I used the regular measurements for the back, each layer is 1/4 inch smaller lengthwise and widthwise than the one below it. I left a sentiment off the back to give more room to write a message.

The side view.

The mechanism to make the card into a tent card is a piece of Basic White (or you could use a piece of the thick Basic White), 3 ⅞ inches x 3 ¾ inches, scored on the short side at 3/8 of an inch, 1 ⅝ of an inch, and 2 ⅞ of an inch. The two outer folds are valley folds, the centre one is a mountain fold. I used a double sided sticky tape (for its strength) on the two small flaps. I glued the first one down aligned with the bottom edge of the card, with the large fold (see the photo) going upwards. Then I held everything down and closed the other side of the card down and it closed perfectly in place.
